Judge agreement and conflicts

A summary of the confidentiality, independence and recusal terms a judge accepts before taking an assignment.

Confidentiality

Judges do not disclose entry content, the scoring process, other judges' views or unpublished results, including after the event.

Independence

Scoring follows the published sheet and nothing else. A judge does not adjust a score because of who the entrant is, a brand relationship or an outside request.

Recusal

Judges declare teaching, organisational, brand, family and employment relationships, and may ask to be recused at any point. Reassignment is recorded with its reason.

Breach

The organiser may withdraw a judge's appointment for breach of this agreement and, where needed, have the affected category re-scored.
